MapInfo is a full-featured, desktop mapping software package. MapInfo provides access to virtually any data source, offers full SQL capability, integrates seamlessly into client/server environments, and can be rapidly customized to meet business requirements. Among the new features in version 5.0 are live ODBC access to remote databases, cartographic legends, Seagate Crystal Reports, and grid surface thematic mapping.
