ENVI (The Environment for Visualizing Images) is a way to explore the world and improve analysis. It is the most advanced, yet easy, image processing package available.

ENVI has no limits on file size or number of bands, to efficiently access and analyze any size or type of file. ENVI's open architecture handles data from leading providers such as Landsat, SPOT, RADARSAT, NASA, NOAA, EROS Data Center and ESA, and is ready to accommodate data from EarthWatch, ORBIMAGE and Space Imaging.

ENVI has a fully-accessible underlying language, the Interactive Data Language (IDL), to expand ENVI's features or create routines. IDL, a fourth-generation programming language, is so powerful that it allows for developing a needed solution in a fraction of the time it would take in traditional languages. IDL also includes a vast library of analysis and visualization functions to quickly prototype applications and create complete, custom solutions.
