Barracuda Email Delays

Barracuda1, one of SSC's anti-spam appliance encountered problems processing incoming emails yesterday (9/28) at 3:30pm.  Up to 3,000 message were queued in the system because Barracuda was refusing its own connections.  The queue went down dramatically by 5:40pm, with less than 100 unsent messages.

By 8:30pm, the Barracuda was processing emails normally.  Emails sent later in the day will arrive first in our users' INBOXES because Barracuda processes email using FILO (first in, last out).

SSC apologizes for the inconvenience.  We have been working with Barracuda to see what may have caused this extended email delivery delays.

Best regards,

SSC Support Team
