Exchange Disk Failure
The Exchange Server experienced a hard disk failure on 7/19/2007 at 10:00am. In most case, our redundant system kicks in without any disruption in service. However, there were some data corruption on several of the Mail Box database which affected several departments including: Sociology, International Institute, Institute of Archaeology, Asian American Studies, Labor Institutes, etc...for a prolonged period of time.
The SSC Exchange Administrator contacted Microsoft and manually checked the INTEGRITY of each affected department mail store and database. Errors have been corrected for all departments except International Institute (largest database) and Exchange services restored.
